Wonders of the Living World

Curiosity, awe, and the meaning of life

Churches

At The Faraday Institute we have the privilege of hearing from scientists about how their research gives them a sense of wonder that leads to worship, as well as deeper questions about the meaning and purpose of the world.

This material, which accompanies the Wonders of the Living World book, will help church-based small groups to have that experience for themselves, in an accessible format for non-scientists. Meeting six active scientists and two experienced theologians, we show how science reveals the wonder of creation and raises theological and philosophical questions about the significance of life.

Each 60-minute session uses several short videos to provide Biblical and theological content, as well as a chance to get to know one of the researchers. There are introductory, in-depth and more scientific-oriented options, with suggested answers to questions for group leaders. Briefing sheets provide background information.
