The Bible offers images of hope that the created world will be renewed. We read about creation being renewed in the future, a new heavens and a new earth, using the language of renewal and restoration – this is the ultimate hope for a Christian. Our hope for today – our proximate hope – is that God will help us to be part of his purposes on earth here and now, including caring for creation.
